π When is the Kirkcudbright Fringe Festival 2025?
The festival runs Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th September 2025, across venues in and around Kirkcudbright.
ποΈ How do I get tickets?
Tickets for individual events will be available online via our official website from 11th June 2025, or from Rhubarb in Kirkcudbright and Samphire Gallery in Castle Douglas from 1st July and in the town at our information hub in the Soaperie gardens during the festival. Some events are free, while others are ticketed, so check listings carefully.
π Where is Kirkcudbright?
Kirkcudbright is a historic harbour town in Dumfries & Galloway, south-west Scotland, known for its strong artistic heritage and charming coastal vibe.
π ΏοΈ Where can I park?
There is ample free parking throughout Kirkcudbright, including at the Harbour Square, Swimming Pool car park, and along St Mary Street. Please follow local signage and respect residential areas.
π Is public transport available?
Yes. Regular bus services run from Dumfries and Castle Douglas. The nearest train station is in Dumfries, with connections to major Scottish cities. Check Travel Line Scotland for timetables.

Absolutely. Kirkcudbright has a wide range of cafes, pubs, restaurants and takeaways, including street food vendors during the festival. Local businesses often run special menus and events too.

π· Do I need cash or card?
Most venues and stalls accept card payments, but itβs wise to carry some cash, especially for pop-ups and smaller performances.

Very much so! Many events are suitable for children, with specific family-friendly shows and activities listed in the programme.
π§βπ€ Can I perform or exhibit?
Not this year as the programme is now complete but applications are open for 2026. Visit the website to find performer registration details and deadlines.
β What if it rains?
While many events are indoors, there are outdoor performances too. Bring waterproofs and umbrellas just in case β this is Scotland, after all!
π Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome in outdoor areas, but not all venues are pet-friendly, so please check individual listings.
