The Beatles changed music and the wider world for good. Philip Norman was there from the beginning chronicling the band’s emergence and rise. He captured their impact and importance in his bestselling book Shout! - “the best, most detailed biography of the Beatles and their time” according to many, followed by compelling biographies of John (“a terrific piece of work”, New York Times), Paul (“one of the best stories the past century has to tell”) and George (a “confident new biography). Come and hear Philip in conversation with fellow Beatles’ author Ken McNab on why the Beatles and their music still fascinate us.

Philip Norman is one of the world’s foremost authorities on the Beatles. His books include Shout!: The Beatles in their Generation, John Lennon: The Life, Paul McCartney: The Biography and George Harrison: The Reluctant Beatle. Other books include Babycham Night and We Danced on Our Desks (about the 1960s). Ken McNab’s books include The Beatles in Scotland, And in the End: The Last Days of the Beatles and Shake It Up, Baby: The Rise of Beatlemania and Mayhem of 1963.
